Harada's Kote Movie!



Satoru Harada's beautiful kote against Uchimura at the 53th All Japan Kendo Championship is now on All Japan Kendo Federation homepage.It was up today,I think. The movie is only about 15 second short, but it worth seeing. Very very very highly recommended.

今日、全日本剣道連盟のホームページに先日行われた全日本選手権の動画が掲載されました。決勝延長で原田選手が内村選手に小手を鮮やかに決めた瞬間が見られます。NHKとは逆側から撮った映像ですので打突部位が判りやすいです。皆様是非！

IMHO, this is not a valid point. He hits the ground after the kote, end that's just wrong. If I were a shinpan at that match, I would't raise my flag. I just think you should treat your sword with respect, and not bang it to the ground to accentuate your hit.
